The American Roommate Experiment & Love on the Brain !!
The American Roommate Experiment - Elena Armas

Rosie Graham has a problem. A few, actually. She just quit her well paid job to focus on her secret career as a romance writer. She hasn’t told her family and now has terrible writer’s block. Then, the ceiling of her New York apartment literally crumbles on her. Luckily she has her best friend Lina’s spare key while she’s out of town. But Rosie doesn’t know that Lina has already lent her apartment to her cousin Lucas, who Rosie has been stalking—for lack of a better word—on Instagram for the last few months. Lucas seems intent on coming to her rescue like a Spanish knight in shining armor. Only this one strolls around the place in a towel, has a distracting grin, and an irresistible accent. Oh, and he cooks.
Lucas offers to let Rosie stay with him, at least until she can find some affordable temporary housing. And then he proposes an outrageous experiment to bring back her literary muse and meet her deadline: He’ll take her on a series of experimental dates meant to jump-start her romantic inspiration. Rosie has nothing to lose. Her silly, online crush is totally under control—but Lucas’s time in New York has an expiration date, and six weeks may not be enough, for either her or her deadline. This is a sequel to The Spanish Love Deception, which I absolutely loved, and although I usually hate when the POV changes, I would love to try Rosie and Lucas's story (major reason is because Aaron and Lina make appearances!), because I loved Rosie's character in the first book!! Loved her friendship and the fact that she couldn't keep her mouth shut around Aaron, when Lina clearly signals her not to tell him anything. The fact that this book consists of all the major tropes that I like: fake dating, forced proximity, slow burn and less spice, makes it more than enough for me to buy and read it!! Except now I have to wait until the prices drop or buy it when I go abroad because as obvious, i'm broke!!!
The major thing that would stop me from reading the book is the fact that this is Dual POV unlike Spanish Love Deception. I hate reading in Dual pov and the last time I read a novel with dual pov was the Divergent series. I only read that one because I was so into the series that I forgot it was even in Dual pov. But, I just don't like reading in dual pov. It's simply as that and I tend to avoid such novels no matter how good reviews they have!! But the simple fact that this is a sequel to a book that I absolutely loved, should be a valid reason for me to try it before giving up and hopefully, it would not disappoint me, because although there are good reviews, some say this is not good as the previous one!!
*fingers crossed* for this one!!
Love on the Brain - Ali Hazelwood

Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project - a literal dream come true - Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.
Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school - archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away.
But when her equipment starts to go missing and the staff ignore her, Bee could swear she sees Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas... devouring her with those eyes. The possibilities have all her neurons firing.
But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there's only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do? (Goodreads)
This is from the same author of The Love Hypothesis, again a novel that I absolutely loved!! Although this is not exactly a sequel, this still focuses on STEM women and it was something I liked about Love Hypothesis. I would definitely buy this and read is because it's from the same author and I loved her previous work and the way she executed it, although there were indeed major plot holes and things that were added without any convincing reason (honestly the author should give convincing and not stupid reasons!).
Compared to the storm of The Love Hypothesis, this has kind of too many bad reviews and i'm already contemplating whether I should buy this or whether I should use the money to buy another book. But, the fact that if I relied on bad reviews, I would've never bought The Spanish Love Deception, makes me want to give this one a try and hope this is good and better than Love Hypothesis!! So kinda excited to try this one!!! Again waiting for the prices to drop or waiting for someone to buy me the books!!!!!
